Exeter, Wessex; The priest greets Uhtred and tells him that Bishop Alewold is busy with prayer. Uhtred barges past him and gifts Bishop Alewold with an Irish relic to pay off the debt on Mildrith's land as well as the wergild he is being summoned to pay for Oswald's murder. ("Episode 1.6")
