Tætan is a minor character in The Last Kingdom television series. She works in a Mercian tavern.

Season 4[]
Aegelesburg, Mercia; Finan, Osferth, Sihtric, and Stiorra enter the tavern. They talk to Tætan who works there, they claim to be the new Lord of Mercia’s closest advisers and demand to be served the best ale. Tætan says they don't look like advisers to which Finan asks her does she know any royal advisers. She says not really. She serves them drinks, all except for Stiorra, who is under age. Upset that she's being secluded, she takes Finan’s ale and chugs it. To which all of them laugh about it. ("Episode 4.8")
Later on, Uhtred, Finan, Stiorra, Osferth, and Sihtric gather at the tavern, unsure of their next move after Uhtred gave up his seat as the Lord of Mercia to Æthelflæd. Finan goes to buy more ale, Tætan greets him jokingly "lord adviser". He tells her to serve him the strongest ale she has. Eadith pays for their next jug of ale in exchange for them allowing her to travel with them when they leave Aegelesburg. Finan asks Tætan for two jugs instead of one. ("Episode 4.8")
