Sigurd Ragnarsson or Sigurd Snake-in-the Eye is the son of the Danish-Swedish Viking chieftan Ragnar Lothbrok. He is the King of Ragnar's Danish Provinces.
The name Sigurd comes from the Old Norse name Sigurðr. The name is made up of the words sig, which means "victory", and varðr, which means "guard, guardian".
