Winchester, Wessex; This man attends the Witan and asks King Alfred to appoint an official to supervise repairs on bridges. He is dismissed when Uhtred arrives, as it is a more pressing matter. The man watches as Uhtred is accused of raiding and plundering Cornwall and also helping Skorpa burn down the church being built at Cynwit. ("Episode 1.6")
